Snow Day Today

Snow days in high school were better than in college. You didn't have to pay for them.

Still pretty sweet though. Entire campus engulfed in a snowball-throwing frenzy.

Went for a walk down to the bluff with my roommate. Asked him if he'd rescue me if I fell off. He said he would unless I was dead. I asked, "How would you know? What if I was just in a coma?" "I'd ask," he said.

Tree outlines black, snow-laced, hints of red. Fog pouring off the mountainside. Mid-ground dotted with cows, brown like an Andrew Wyethpainting.

(Thanks, Artchive for the painting. And for an interesting article on Wyeth and Chadds Ford, which is not that far from where I grew up, check here.)
