This is what I get for staying up all night

Probably the most surreal dream ever. Caution: earmuffs.

I dreamt that this really seedy hotel, a bit like Lamar's, was putting on a dance tribute to a film somewhat like a cross between "Hairspray" and "Sixteen Candles". What Roger Waters would do with 80s pop (like Cyndi Lauper), basically.

Anyway, so the 5th North girls all went and I went too. But only girls were allow to dance in this thing and I soon found out why. The dance involved holding a mic stand, moving it back and forth and spinning around with it in a synchronized fashion that made it look you were having sex with it. Most of the people there were dressed like strippers, with skin-tight gaudy costumes covered in bangles and sparkles. I can't remember if my friends were that way or if they knew ahead of time it was going to be like this. Anyway, I was horrified. Particularly at how young some of the girls (and their dates) there were. I thought, "Is this corruption of minors?"

Later I got in an argument with Vincent Howard who was defending it from an artistic standpoint. I said, "It's really shitty man. Really shitty" I was particularly screaming. (I'm more animated in my dreams than real life.) "Why do you say that?" he asked, cool as ever. "It's just dirty," I replied. He said something to the effect of it "That's what makes it good - it achieves its artistic aims." I walked away.

Even later in the dream I remember getting angry at Covenant students because they were really disrepectful, walking out of classes if the professor wasn't saying anything they cared about. I thought, "I'm going to have to transfer soon."

Then I woke up. Tom Petty was playing on Tom's laptop, a room down from me.
