Sun Ra Arkestra is playing!

...in Philly on Saturday. And Lord willing, come what may, I'll be there. It's not every day you get to see an 85-year-old man directing a 20-member jazz band in space suits.

Whoever is reading this, I'd love to see you there. Believe me, you won't regret it. Lowen has told me stories about Sun Ra and it sounds like an incomparable experience. Anyway, it's on the "Eddie Green Stage" at the intersection of Ogontz and Middleton in North Philly, in the West Oak Lane neighborhood. They're on from 6.15 to 7 pm on Saturday.
