Well, that didn't work out like I planned...

So yesterday I drove half-an-hour into the city to hand in my resume to the office services people at the temp agency and they turned me down because I didn't have office experience. Well, that was depressing.

I finished an application to do something I know how to do - food service at a retirement community. And now I've got several other temp agencies to check out. I called one and the lady spoke in a super-rapid voice, saying "Yes, we're looking for banquet servers. No, experience isn't needed." And then she hung up or something, before I got to ask her if I should come up and apply in person then, or what. Oh well, that's what I plan to do today.
