I haven't been doing much work

Listening to: Damien Jurado and Gathered in Song

It's true. I think I'm tired and I'm ready to come back or something. Well, I've got a while to wait yet (two weeks), but it's going to go fast. Too fast for the benefit of my academic essays, which aren't looking so great at the moment. I still have about 30 books that I'm supposed to read (by which I mean pick up selected parts) for my long essay, according to the proposal that I've submitted.

Strange - I'm feeling like I'm a better typist now that I used to be. Macs are so ergonomic. I just love the feel of the keys and the interface itself. It's both functional and beautiful; I find myself getting done what I need to get done with minimal movement. I especially love the hot corners feature.

Anyway, this is perhaps one of the most trivial entries I've ever posted. I just posted it to give myself an excuse to change the quote I have at the top of my blog. Apologies if you were expecting something more interesting. I think all my interesting thoughts come out in conversation these days - or else they're too personal and tentative for me to do anything with them but keep them to myself...and God.

Old quotes archived:
"Too late have I loved you, O Beauty, so old and yet so new." -St. Augustine
"Acquire the Spirit of Peace, and thousands around you will be saved." - an Eastern Orthodox mystic, not sure anymore who

I hate it when people apologize for what they write on their blogs. It's your blog. Write whatever the @#%@# you feel like writing.

Said by the girl who writes mini-essays on fascinating musical and philosophical subjects half the time (and the other half of the time tells funny anecdotes). :)

Not to play Compliments Lawn Tennis or anything, but I think you're talking 'bout your blog.
