coffee and...coffee
I had an iced mocha at Greyfriar's today. It messed me up pretty badly. I felt sick to my stomach, my mind felt hyperactive, my hands were shaking.
Sometimes I regret that caffeine affects me more than alcohol.
I don't regret my dislike of cigarettes though. There are some vices that just aren't for me.

You should move to Utah. There are some parts of the state where coffee is simply unavailable.
That's funny you would say that about coffee when yahoo was running news articles about how coffee isn't bad for your health (whereas cigarettes are). Might have been a bunch of scientists unwilling to give up their morning joe. Coffee always makes me vaguely shaky, but do I go for decaf as an alternative more conducive to mental well-being? No, because decaf coffee is just fake! So I suffer the shakes.
Despite marijuana's easy accessibility and being asked to join dope-smoking parties up here, I have yet to try any lung-related vice. If someone ever handed me a pipe, I'd take a puff (or whatever the correct terminology is), but only because I'd feel extraordinarily old guard academic in doing so. The best vice, in my opinion, is a little Belgian chocolate...followed closely by red wine...

oh, sorry. I misread your sentence regarding cigarettes...I thought you said "I don't regret my like of cigarettes."
Now your entry makes a lot more sense to me.
