i should change my blog tagline...

...to "Brought to you by the #1 Evan Donovan on the Internet".

Wow, this Google Analytics/W3Counter data is endlessly fascinating to an info-freak like me. Below (with links, should I care at some point to add them) are the top things that people have searched for on my blog since Analytics started tracking it back in Nov. 2005, more or less in order (though I'm summarizing some, and I'm not quoting any of them exactly, except for the ones in quotes):

  1. the name of my blog (which happens to also be the name of a bunch of other stuff)
  2. my name
  3. the names of my friends
  4. the names of blogs I linked to
  5. theonomy
  6. Third Lobby, my friend's band
  7. a Neruda poem
  8. the phrase "hermeneutical spiral"
  9. the phrase "necessary word", on my site (I think all 5 of those may have been me)
  10. the Mobius flask
  11. photos on my site (I can see why; they're few and far between)
  12. the Bagpipe (Covenant's newspaper, now so woefully in jeopardy)
  13. an English translation of the phrase "vivo sin vivir en mi" (I did provide that; it's from a great poem by St. John of the Cross)
  14. my thoughts on Isaiah
  15. my thoughts on worship
  16. a quote from an M. Ward song
  17. Little Geneva (the Reformed hate site)
  18. "alcohol names and Egypt" (sorry, can't help you there)
  19. "argus-eyed jealousy of the patronage of the president" (that's a little more like it)
  20. "Come On Ring Those Bells lyrics" (not sure if I ever gave those out)
  21. "contemporary worship in British churches" (I do believe I covered that once)
  22. "deus absconditus" (did that)
  23. "disturbing songs" (I think I did that)
  24. "essjay affair" (I know I did that - me and everyone else)
  25. Nicolas Wolterstorf (did I misspell his name or something?)
  26. "philadelphia ethical society+sun ra" (great-sounding concert; I'm sorry I missed it)
  27. "this boogie is for real" (yes, yes it is)
  28. "wordsworth philosophy"
  29. "xstain" (what?)
  30. "youtube from egypt" (why didn't they just search YouTube?)
  31. "alas how easily things go wrong" (indeed)
  32. "can it be true what's taught us in religion?" (I believe.)
