Handy Financial Tip:
Don't risk overdrawing your bank account with an iTunes purchase that takes forever to post. Pay for iTunes purchases using PayPal, and don't link your PayPal account to a card. Make sure that you have to put money in the PayPal account manually.
This way you can ration your music purchases according to your actual budget, and not according to the speed of your Internet connection and the strength of your desires.

You don't need an ipod to buy music off itunes. Just a computer w/internet access, and it doesn't even need to be a mac.
